Your responsibilities in a few words!
Prepare tax provisions and tax returns for subsidiaries – Calculate and manage legal payments and tax forms – Account for period-end closing entries and apply internal controls – Perform monthly, quarterly and annual analyses to explain variances from budget – Actively participate in the annual budget process – Prepare files for external audit and collaborate with auditors – Develop and update procedures quarterly and annual analyses to explain deviations from budget – Actively participate in the annual budget process – Prepare files for external audit and collaborate with auditors – Develop and update work procedures – Propose recommendations to improve processes – Monitor tax deadlines and obligations – Perform any other job-related tasks as requested by the immediate superior.
Your assets for this position!
Bachelor's degree in accounting or administration
5 years' experience with tax provisions and returns
Excellent command of Excel
Knowledge of Taxprep
Experience with Oracle, an asset
Knowledge of the insurance industry, an asset
Autonomous, rigorous and analytical
Experience with the budget process, an asset
Bilingualism: required
