You’ve been working hard all year and are already looking forward to your holiday break that is just around the corner.
Your employer has organized a nice Christmas event for the whole office. When the day comes, the stress falls and you can finally enjoy this moment surrounded by your colleagues, in a relaxed and festive mode!
Obviously, in this context, the sudden urge to “let go of your crazy” may catch you off guard.
Here are a few tips that will help you keep your head high in all circumstances, while enjoying this important moment with your family:
- Accept the invitation: Your company has probably invested a lot of time and money to make this opportunity possible. It’s respectable to show up, at least for part of the evening or for your leadership speech.
- Consider your escort: Follow the invitation instructions and if the opportunity to be accompanied allows, consider choosing a person who will be suitable for your environment.
- Dress appropriately: Tailor your attire to the guidelines issued by your employer and feel free to dress up for the occasion. However, plan on dressing for a family night out, rather than a nightclub.
